Facing the increasingly tension of domestic energy demand and competition in the globalenergy situation, the State Grid Corporation conscientiously implements the "GovernmentWork Report" about the decision-making and deployment of grid construction, accelerates theconstruction of informative, automotive, and interactive smart grid and works hard to achievethe upgrade and leap of China’s power grid from the traditional one to the efficient,economical, clean, modern interactive grid. In order to adapt to the requirements of intelligentpower grid, Jilin SongJiangHe Power Co., Ltd. explored the intelligent hydropower stationconstruction, and started the construction of intelligent system platform, in which a bigprogress has been made.This paper analyzes the current situation of the existing automation systems of the JilinSongJiangHe Power Co., Ltd. and the significance of carrying out the intelligent platform,makes the principles of the intelligent platform construction, focusing on the discussion of theintelligent platform architecture, functions, and the classification of the system’s level and theprocessing and flow of the information and so on.Intelligent platform construction, based on an integrated, high-speed bidirectionalcommunication network, achieves the combination of "flow of electricity, information flow,and business flow”, through advanced sensing and measurement technology, advancedequipment, advanced control methods and advanced decision supporting systems technology,and is characterized by the high degree of integration with information technology,automotive and interactive.The overall system structure is centered on the cascade intelligent dispatching, at dividedinto multiple application layer in the longitudinal degree according to different kind ofapplications divided into, divided into several administrative zones at horizontal degreeaccording to different applications, and the interact between various administrative zones is inaccordance with the standard rules. At the same time, in order to provide information andservice interaction to the northeast power grid, upstream and downstream power plantapplication, and the system implements standard interaction mechanism according to theapplication needs. Intelligent hydropower station platform, as a unified basic platform, carries on all kinds ofautomatic monitoring and scheduling. Due to all kinds of automation equipment involved inthe system, controlling module uniform covers the whole factory area; therefore, theconstruction of the system adopts the distribution system of open architecture. Localautomation system operates through the upper machine, control module, while the intelligentplatform interacts with it through standard protocols and service framework. The platform isdivided the different applications according to local automation systems, and, meanwhile,integrates data of different units to form the integrated application service model, and thusforms up discrete and uniform data model structure, to analyze and process informationlocally and globally, and also to realize the various applications of intelligent platform.System is mainly divided into local area equipment layer, data layer, application servicelayer, and information releasing layer. Among them, the local area equipment layer mainlyincludes all kinds of automation equipment and the control units. The layer’s main job is toreform local automation device data interface. Data layer is mainly responsible for the localarea equipment of all kinds of automation equipment, real-time data acquisition, analysis andstorage, and provides various types of application service model resource storage and dataservices. Application service layer is mainly responsible for intelligent power plant of allkinds of specific functions. Different types of business can be divided into differentapplication models, and make service encapsulation, and manage the service in a united way.Information release layer, as the function of the application platform of intelligenthydropower bearing, realizes the launching of the various functions of clients. The layer ofthe application service layer combines and calls in a variety of services according to businessneeds, by encapsulating various interface components, and finally releases the results to theusers.In the process of rebuild the intelligent system of SongJiangHe power plants, we make afull use of the unified design, unify the planning and step-by-step implementation, and fullyconsider the existing automation system and the situation of the future intelligent system ofupstream and downstream hydropower station. On the premise of guaranteeing the normaland stable operation of the original system, we carries on the unified platform constructionfirst and then reconstruct the local area automation equipment step by step, get an access to aunified platform, and gradually improve the intelligent applications.Platform business mainly includes the applications of running monitor application,economic operation, production management, the dam safety information management,security management, on-line monitoring and state overhaul and also the OA archives management applications.The intelligent platform construction, on the basis of the integration of the two-way andhigh speed communication network, is characterized by informative, automotive, andinteractive. It uses the combination of the advanced measurement technology, advancedequipment, and efficient control method and the powerful decision support system, achievesan integration of various information, and finally it helps the power plant to achieve thereliable, safe, economic, efficient and environmentally friendly targets.
