It is more and moreincreasing for PDM about the characteristics of the design complexity and the implementationdynamic. The users of product are geting stronger and stronger to the requirement of diversityand personalized. Based on the above issues, the paper analyzes the characteristics ofproduction and the development trends in manufacotry enterprise, combined with thetechnology of Java open-source framework, and studies key technologies of building PDM.Absorption of some predecessors on the basis of research results, the core idea of thispaper shows the product data ordered, design process optimization and resource shared inPDM. The use of holistic optimization concept describes the product of design data anddesign process, and standards the management of product life cycle, and maintains theconsistency and traceability of product data. In order to achieve above these goals, this paperstudied the following aspects of work:1. Under the guidance of systems engineer thinking, it is an exploratory study to buildthe model of Pdm though using the technology of Ontology. In order to remove thedifferences between analysis and design, in this system inherited and developed the core ideaof the advanced technology of computer and so on, and used to the technologyObject-oriented and Ontology to analysis and design about the architecture of PDM from thetwo views of functionality and network, and used the technology of UML and OWL to buildthe model.2. This paper introduces the related technology of Java’s open-source framework. PDMwas built on the open-source framework of SSH2of the arcitecture of muti-tier. OWL wasused to build PDM to implement the function of the semantic identification, storage andsearch of the resouces. And using of the component technology of software engineering, PDMwas built with good scalability, portability and reuse.Integrated various kinds of technologygives a prototype system of PDM based on Dalian Spring Co.,Ltd, and is implemented thefunctions of the key model.The platform of the prototype PDM was applied successfully in Dalian Spring Co., Ltd, which verifies the advantage of feasibility, reliability and so on in theopen-source framework of SSH2.3. Integrated various kinds of technology gives the prototype system of PDM based onDalian Spring Co.,Ltd, and is implemented the functions of the key model. The platform ofthe prototype PDM was applied successfully in Dalian Spring Co., Ltd, which verifies theadvantage of feasibility, reliability and so on in the open-source framework of SSH2.It is key research for how to use the technology of Java open-source framework andOntology to enhance the PDM data resources use, reuse and sharing.
