Research On Ontology Based Object-oriented Database Model

With the development of information technology rapidly, the information sources generate and change constantly , and have created massive distribution of data sets. How to use these data effectively, it is urgent to be solved in information field. Database is an effective way of data management, However, the limitation of the traditional relative database has been unable to satisfy the demand of current information, such as expressing object, relating object with behavior, understanding data semantics, etc. Based on the object-oriented database can express complex object and ontology can express data semantics, in view of the current database system can not handle massive distributed data effectively, we present a database model that based on the ontology and object-oriented method.At the beginning of this paper, we have an in-depth discussion of ontology theory and method, and explain basic concepts of ontology, description language, model building method, mapping and evolution. Then explain and introduce the object-oriented database technology in detail, and apply ontology to object-oriented database system model building, and present a three-layer structure for the object-oriented database accessing, which includes application layer, semantic layer, and data layer. We describe the ontology database management, object-oriented database management and ontology learning in semantic layer in detail. At the end of this paper, we discuss a data integration method based on ontology. On the basis of the existing data integration technologies for in-depth analysis, we present a data integration method that using ontology learning to correct the result of the ontology mapping.
