The Fire Alarm System Based On GSM

As electronic products are widely used in life, fire caused by the safety problems of electronic products also increase. Warehouse is an important place for centralized storage of business supplies. The first goal of warehouse management is the warehouse safety, while fire is the biggest threat factor to warehouse. In the event of fire, serious economic losses and even casualties may be caused. The research and development of fire alarm systems is to realize the aim of detecting early problems, controlling and extinguishing fires, reducing losses and protecting life safety.The existing warehouse fire alarm system has many shortcomings such as expensive price, limited transmission distance and so on. Considering the phenomenon, the author has designed a low-cost GSM-based fire alarm system.The real-time monitoring nodes composed of single chip microcomputer, smoke sensor and temperature sensor collect data information from multiple test points in warehouse, and then data collected through485line connection between nodes will be transferred to the only data acquisition node of the warehouse. Data acquisition node collects multiple monitoring data of warehouse and the data acquisition node in each warehouse is connected to the gateway node with485lines. Gateway node receives data from acquisition nodes, and sends them to the alarm center through the GSM network perodicly. If temperature or smoke density exceeds the proseted threshold, the system then start the acousto-optic alarm, at the same time the alarm information will be displayed on the LCD1602. The gateway node can also send alarm messages to a specified user when it monitors the detected temperature or smoke density exceeds the threshold.The designed system can simultaneously monitor1to128warehouses with the advantage of simple structure, fast response and high reliability. The system has certain practical value.
