Pipeline transportation system, as one of China’s five major transport industries, is moreand more important in the national economy. Under the strategy of national westerndevelopment economic transformation, a large number of gas pipelines will be put intoconstruction and operation. Once the pipeline leaks, it would cause huge economic losses andpersonal injury, so, it is important to find leaks and identify the location of the leak in time,which can reduce losses and maintain the safe operation of pipelines. In recent years, with therapid development of sensor technology, embedded technology and computer technology, theintelligent systems of pipeline leakage based on sensor array become popularization. Researchthe application of gas detection system, which detects the location of the leak, can effectivelyreduce the losses caused by natural gas leak, at the same time, it has a profound meaning inautomated management of the natural gas pipeline operator.In this paper, the infrasound detection systems is used for natural gas pipeline leakmonitoring. It selects the precision infrasound sensors and wavelet transform theory of weaksignal detection to improve the precision and accuracy of natural gas pipeline leak detectionand designed its system monitoring software.This article mainly introduces the corresponding design and research about the powersupply part, ozone generator, air supply part, landscape lamp parts, microporous exhaust andwater test.First of all, this paper introduces the principle of gas pipeline leak detection based oninfrasonic wave, it mainly focuses on the factors that influence the propagation velocity ofinfrasonic wave.By correcting the located formula, it improves the positioning precision ofthe system.Secondly, it selects the precision infrasound sensors which are suitable for high pressurenatural gas pipeline leak detection. For the sensitivity and anti-vibration of sound wave, thecapacitive microphone is used for acoustic sensor sensitive element, which is better than thepressure microphone. Meanwhile, the process design has been improved to make it moresuitable for high-pressure gas pipelines.Then, for the infrasonic signals mixed a lot of noise, this paper further studies theacoustic signal detection methods. Using wavelet theory of signal singularity detection,capture the mutation position, it improves the detection accuracy. Finally, the software of leakage detection system of natural gas pipeline is designedbased on virtual instrument technology. The pipeline operation status is shown on thecomputer display, It has better real-time and man-machine interaction. From theanalysis and comparison of experimental results, it comes to the result that the method ofinfrasonic wave is useful.
