Researches On Data Integrity Verification And Accountability Mechanisms Of Cloud Storage

With the explosive growth of the data amount, the storage costs have increased greatly,and the difficulty of the management has increased too. As a form of "Infrastructure as aservice", cloud storage can provided a high performance, low cost, easy management andvirtualized storage solution. However, the security issue can’t be ignored, and the dataintegrity is the primary criterion. The storage server is not entirely credible, the cloud storagesecurity is more complex compared with the previous storage systems. The users worry aboutthe data integrity, which has became the biggest obstacle to the development of cloud storage.This paper mainly studies the data integrity protection issues in the cloud storage, byanalyzing the data integrity protection mechanisms and security issues that cloud storagefaced, a program based on a trusted third party to verify and account the cloud storageintegrity is proposed. The main contents of this paper are as follows:In order to eliminate users’ concerns of the integrity of the data that stored on theuntrusted cloud storage server, and overcome the large storage and calculation costs problem,we propose a program based on a trusted third party to verify the data integrity. We designs acloud storage protocol and a cloud storage integrity protocol which is participated by users,atrusted third party and cloud storage service provider. The effectiveness and safety analysis ofthe protocol indicated the proposed program can verify the cloud storage integrity efficientlyand safely.In order to determine who is responsible for the user’s data integrity destruction, wepropose a cloud storage integrity accountable program, which generates a repudiationaccountability audit voucher by users, cloud storage service provider and a trusted third party.We design the voucher and accountability audit protocol, and analyze the effectiveness andsafety of the accountability program. This program can confirm who should be responsiblewhen the data integrity is destroyed, and also provide protection for the users’ data integrityand the completeness of the voucher list.This paper proposes an integrity and accountability program verification scheme basedon trusted third party, which achieves credible storage and accountability between untrustedcloud storage service providers and users, therefore ensure the users’ data more secure andreliable.
