Real-time monitoring of the meteorological monitoring system studied in this paperincludes wind speed, wind direction, temperature and humidity. The main developmentplatformof the system is ARM9series’S3C2410embedded development board. The threemain functional modules of the system are meteorological acquisition whose core isW77E58microcontroller, GPS positioning and time service and wireless transmission ofGPRS_PDU. After modular design, the system is not only facilitating the day-to-daymaintenance but also simplifying the late expansion upgrade.The entire data collection process is as follows: firstly collecting meteorologicalelements through meteorological sensors, secondly converting analog signal to digitalsignal with A/D conversion and transmitting digital signal to W77E58MCU for analyticalprocessing, thirdly transmitting meteorological data to S3C2410platform through theserial port and using the touch screen to conduct monitoring, and lastly storage data viaSD card. Can be used by single and can constitute star network with wireless.This paper designs and develops the collection expansion board which is based onW77E58MCU, and implements data acquisition and transmission functions for peripheralsensor. In this paper, has written a MCS51microcontroller program, has cut and compileda Window CE embedded operating system, has written serial communication and networkcommunication and protocols conversion and data processing and data storage moduleswith EVC, has completed development of the central server monitoring software whichcan monitor and store and remotely control meteorological data.The meteorological monitoring system can realize collection of other meteorologicalelements or information after secondary expansion. And it can be widely used inmeteorological services, marine survey, hydrological, environmental detection, airports,ports and highways. Overall the system has a high economic and social value.
