Pulsed dye lasers have been used in many fields because of continuouslyadjustable output wavelength. But with the change of internal and external situationafter long time working, the laser will not radiate a constant frequency (wavelength),which makes the laser not meeting needs.Based on the stability of resonance fluorescence, a pulsed dye laser was controlledin high stabilization of frequency (wavelength), in this thesis. Main work included theoptical design of the control system, the hardware design, data acquisition, dataprocessing, reaction control. And optimum method of frequency stabilization controlwas obtained by the experiment. The details are that:1. According to the working principle and characteristics of pulsed dye laser,the reason of the laser frequency instability was analyzed and some improvementadvice was suggested.2. Na atomic resonance fluorescence spectrum was analyzed. The relationshipbetween the fluorescence intensity and the wavelength, from589.00nm to589.060nmwavelength range, was summarized. The fluorescence intensity monitoring opticalpath was designed. And thereby the frequency stabilization was achieved at thespecific emission wavelength (589.0158nm).3. With using the graphical programming language (Labview) and high-speedoscilloscope, those functions were implemented such as Na fluorescence intensitysignals collection, synchronous signals transmission, real-time data processing and soon.4. The laser frequency stabilization experimental system on the basis of atomicresonance fluorescence theory was set up, and through laser frequency stabilizationdetecting experiment the optimum algorithm was obtained.The experimental results showed that the laser frequency was almost constant atthe emission wavelength of589.0158nm. The experimental system is simple instructure and convenient in operation. It can also emitted stationary laser when theexternal environment changes. The method can be extended to the laser frequencystabilization system of some other wavelength.
