The rised emergence and rapid development of fault diagnosis technology is theresult of practical application and multidisciplinary development. This paper baesed onthe two major method of diagnosis the fault of nonlinear system. It takes two methodfrom each major method, and does some research about the rough set method and therobust observer method. At last, using the two method to diagnosis the fault of samenonlinear system.The major contents and conclusions can be summarized as follow:The development status and existing hotspot problems of the fault diagnosis ofnonlinear system are investigated, and summarized the features and problems in thisfield. This paper take the two representative method of the fault diagnosis of nonlinearsystem with an in-depth study.This paper construct the three-tank model baesd on the rough set method afterstudying the the rough set theories. this model combine with the configuration software.it can diagnosis the fault of three-tank and display the fault information on theconfiguration interface.According to the nonlinear system characteristics of three-tank, linearized thesystem at operating point. And using it combine with the features of the robust observer.According to inhibit other faults to turn highlight the feature of the fault, this can designan robust observer. This method is applied the diagnosis fault of three-tank, andsimulating to illustrate its effectiveness.
