With the growing of various kinds of data resources, data faultage has become moreobviously in some areas around our life, and been gradually attracted attention. Data faultage iscaused by inhomogeneity of macro and micro data resources, and not only affects the efficiencyon obtain useful information from data resources, but also causes more inconvenience on dataresources management. Therefore, data faultage is a key problem on data analysis.As geology conception, fault is a phenomenon of rock’s fracture and displacement. It’s quiteimportant on geology theoretically and practically. The geological fault theory is matured andhas been widely applied, such as oil exploration, earthquake preparedness, etc. It’s easy to findout that the geological fault theory pays the reference and enlightenment role on constructing thedata faultage theory.Refer to the geological fault theory, data faultage and other related conceptions are detaileddefined firstly from the view of data mining by contrastive study and disciplines integration.From the mathematical point, data faultage is described roundly by the quantitative standardfrom information entropy, probability and statistics etc. Then, making the micro data faultage asmain analysis object, the methods and the corresponding algorithm of pore detection, datacompaction, tacit faultage detection and data pressure solution are put forward on judgment andtreatment of data faultage. Finally, by the log data of “Shanghai Music Radio FM101.7”, asystem to analysis the faultage on the radio log data is built, and the proposed theories andmodels are described and verified.As the preliminary study on data faultage theory, the pioneering exploration of dataresources from various views is made, and the important theoretical value and meaning isreflected. The practical data application can fully explain the scientific and validity of datafaultage theory, and establish a strong foundation for the further study.
