As one of the three pillars of modern information industry, sensor technology affects and restricts the development of information technology, and it also has important significance to construction engineering and other related and research areas. Pressure sensor technology originated before long time and has developed more maturely. Numerous types of sensors are widely used for pressure measurement, such as pneumatic, hydraulic, and solid pressure. These pressure sensors are often used in the construction of dams, bridges, and railways and the research of agricultural and so on. These sensors provide them a guarantee for the performance of security and long-term stability, by detecting and real-time monitoring. For the need of more multifunctional detection, a type of sensor technology to measure the pore pressure which can transform both positive and negative pressure is proposed in this paper. And a new solution is provided for the pore pressure measurement of special soil.Based on the sample soil model used in laboratory, the pore pressure measure device is designed. The theories of transferring pressure by liquid in ordinary osmometer and resistive strain sensor are used in the device, which can transform positive and negative pore pressure into the pressure and suction of the liquids operating on the elastic element of the sensor. Then the values are given out by the bilateral deformation of the elastic element. Meanwhile, for the lower pressure of measurements, the sensibility of the sensor ed must be fulfilled.According to the theory of the pore pressure measure device, the specific structural and the dimensions of the core components are designed. The simplified model and the three-dimensional solid model of the elastic element are simulated using ANSYS. By comparing the simulation results obtained with theoretical values, the rationality of the theoretical design is verified. Then the related process of the strain gauge pasted is analyzed to improve the sensor performance and reduce the impact of the uncertainty factors maximally. Then by the calibration experiment, the experimental results are processed and analyzed. And the rationality of the theoretical design is verified further through the static characteristics of calibration experimental results.
