Galileo navigation satellite system is managed by EU(European Union). Compared withGPS(Global Positioning System), the signal specification of Galileo system is more reasonable,and the performance of navigation services provided by Galileo system are more perfect.Research on Galileo signal specification and methods of signal monitoring and assessment canserve Compass navigation system, which will provide reference for signal specification design ofCompass and promote the development and improvement of Compass.Three aspects referring to Galileo signal were researched in this thesis, and they were thesimulation of ideal signal, the characters of deformed signal and the methods of offline analysisof the measured signal of Galileo system.Based on the deep research on the Galileo signal E5/E6/E1, simulated the ideal signal ofGalileo system using MATLAB in four aspects of the time domain waveforms, the frequencydomain characters, the modulation performance and the characters of correlation function, whichlaid the foundation for offline analysis of the measured signal; Aiming at the deformed signal,researched three factors doing harm to the quality of the signal of Galileo system, and they wereevil waveform, multipath and thermal noise, then analyzed the capability of resisting multipathand the accuracy of code tracking of the signal of Galileo system, which provided a reference foroffline analysis of the measured signal; In connection with the methods of offline analysis of themeasured signal, researched methods in four aspects of the time domain waveform, powerspectrum, the constellation diagram and the curve of correlation of function. Furthermore, thisthesis showed many parameters of assessing the signal quality of Galileo system.Designed the software for offline analysis of the measured signal of Galileo usingMATLAB, and analyzed the signal quality of measured signal of Galileo using this software.From the results of the analysis, we could see that the pictures in the time domain, the frequencydomain, the modulation performance and the correlation domain corresponding to the measuredsignal were close to the pictures of the ideal signal, and the parameters from the outputs of thesoftware are reasonable. The signal to noise ratio of the measured signal was high, and thecharacters of the deformed signal such as evil waveform and multipath did not appear. As aresult, we obtained expected results, which tested and verified the availability of the software.
