Over the years, in order to fulfill people’s higher requirements to environmental monitoring quality, we urgently need to put more informative videos, audios and pictures, etc. into Wireless Sensor Network. Therefore, we add multimedia sensor node which can percept more information, have strong handling ability and more memory space to traditional WSN to constitute Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network (WMSN), which makes the environmental monitoring more visually, intuitively and comprehensively. This also enable WMSN have broad application prospects in fields of military, business, agriculture and safety, etc.Same as the traditional Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network (WMSN) is also limited by node resources. Communications link is easily disturbed by outside environment and use pattern of multihop to transfer information. Besides, due to its specialties of large quality of information and complex information type, it is easier to occur congests, rising of frame loss rate, increasing of delay and greater energy consumption when transferring information, consequently influence work efficiency of the whole network. Therefore, to design a routing protocol that is able to content restrictions of various QoS (Quality of Service) becomes one of key points of Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network routing protocol research. The feature of traditional Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is mostly pay attention to energy consumption; while multimedia information has higher requirements to QoS. for this reason,design the various QoS restrains-satisfied routing protocol have more challenges.Aiming at problems and challenges mentioned above, this paper put forward an improved MMSPEED routing algorithm basing on Game Theory through detail researches and analysis of existing routing protocol and combining the specialties of Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network (WMSN). considering there are various information types in Multimedia Sensor Network and different information has different demands to QoS. by adjusting revenue function and takes advantage of Nash Equilibrium to pick out the optimal path of revenue from source node to sink node. Simulation tests indicate the improved protocol is better-adapted to Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network where multi types of information coexist, and balance the energy consumption under the quality of data are not reduced, and also improve the instantaneity, bandwidth utilization and prolong the network running time.
