As the demand for network-based information dissemination of areas such astransportation, electricity, banks, hospitals, schools, supermarkets, shopping malls,airports and sports stadiums, single board advertising player that appeared beforeand is only a one-way function can no longer meet the needs of customers. It isreplaced by digital multimedia information distribution system, which is aweb-based platform providing real-time, centralized control, management andautomatic broadcast. This project origins from the multimedia informationpublishing system of Shanghai Clearcrane Digital Technology Co. and it is amanagment platform with B/S architecture, which can broadcast customizedterminal programs as needed, and unified manage and monitor all the terminals.This article gives a comprehensive analysis of the requirements and technicalfeasibility of the resource management subsystem, and adopts the B/S architecturefor the design and development for the system. It uses Java language which ispopular and the Struts&Hibernate technology of SSH framework. The front page ismade by JSP program language. Also it adopts the CSS and JavaScript technology asauxiliary development tool. Meanwhile, the system uses the DWR framework tofacilitate development of the front page. The system is developed in Windowsoperating system with MyEclipse6.5, and MySQL5for data storage. Data exchangebetween front page and server not only contains the form information but also JSONformat data.The main contents of this paper are divided into three modules: resourcemanagement module, channel management module and config management module.Resource management module is mainly for multimedia information resourcesmanagement, ensuring that users can upload resources to the server, and maintainbase information of resources. Resources can be divided into four categories: basicresources, layout resources, conference resources and weather resources. Basicresources are divided into five resources including video, audio, images, text anddocuments. Basic resources besides the text resources are saved on the FTP. Layoutresources management is mainly used to design the layout of different types ofresources to determine the position on the terminal monitor displays. Otherresources besides layout resources can be published and displayed on the terminalmonitor displays. Channel management module is responsible for the publishing ofresources, which mainly designs the play times, play duration and play order ofresources. And it schedules the resources to determine the play form of resources.Config management mainly manages the basic datas for system to ensure the normal operation of the system.Through functional tests and performance tests of the system, we ensure thatthe system can manage and publish multimedia information, which meets theintended function requirements and performance requirements of the system. Nowthe system has been put into actual operation.
