As the market economy leaps and bounds, diverse business models rises,commodity trading has become more and more flexible, the traditional way that howmuch produced how much sold has been unable to meet the practical needs of today’smarket, so manufacturing enterprises are faced with a tougher challenge, how to shiftthe focus to the customer, response to the customer demand rapidly in order to in theshortest possible time deliver high quality and inexpensive goods become a businessproblems to be solved. So this requires companies must clearly focus on materials,clear various stages of production purposes, with reasonable arrangements for the useof computer information technology procurement and optimization of business andmanufacturing processes, standardize enterprise’s actual production program, andthus can companies meet the actual demand more accurately.With the actual work of the author in a cosmetics company in Shanghai, thisarticle has proposed and implemented a MRP subsystem based on forecasts ofenterprise and actual orders for supporting guidance material procurement andmanufacturing enterprise processes to help enterprises solve production disconnectbetween supply and marketing.Through the surveys and research of historical sales data, abstract and generalizea sales forecasting model that through recent history of enterprise data predictdemand for the next cycle of the approximation. Then taking the actual demand andcorporate orders as input, actual production as output, gives a clear model for criteria.According to actual production obtained, combined with the internal structure ofmaterials, decomposition calculations, finalize the material requirements.In the center of the core idea, based on Oracle E-Business Suite, using OracleForms、Flexfield、Alert et to implement display layer, using Open Interfaces andAPIS to process logic, using Oracle Reports and XML Publisher to display report,combined with the actual needs of the enterprise research and analysis, throughoutline design, detailed design, and coding, give an order-based materialrequirements planning system with the help of forecasting. The system not only helpscompanies develop material requirements planning, but also provide materialsinformation management, report printing etc, has a good integration with otherenterprise information systems and provides a rich interface program to supply otherinformation systems data within the database operation, now the system has beenofficially put into use, and then from the practice confirms this theory.
