| Phased array antenna was an antenna array with beam scanning, and the dualpolarized phased array antenna was formed with dual polarized phased arrayantenna. For meeting the need of the dual polarized Ku-waveband phased arrayantenna, some kinds of dual polarized phased array antenna units were studied anddesigned, by the method of the theoretical analysis and empirical parameteroptimization in this paper. It was an innovative way to combine Vivaldi antennawith waveguide antenna as plus ridge waveguide formed dual polarized antennas,and which owned obvious practical engineering significance. The article aimed atmeeting the demand of dual polarized phased array antenna, and the main contentsof this thesis were as follows：Firstly, the phased array antenna fundamentals were introduced, in this thesis.electrical characteristics, antenna unit selection and analysis methods of theoreticalknowledge and several phased array antenna unit design ideas and some of theimportant parameters of the calculation basis were discussed.Secondly, according to Ku-waveband dual polarized antenna unit phased arraydesign specifications, through the electromagnetic simulation software FEKO,bow-tie antenna unit, Vivaldi antenna unit and the antenna unit of ridged waveguidewere designed and studied. Each specific parameters and dual polarized antennaunits implementation process were given in detail.Finally, the simulation of the bow-tie antenna units, Vivaldi antenna units andthe antenna unit of ridge waveguide were given, and the radiation pattern, VoltageStand Wave Ratio (VSWR), isolation and other parameters of the simulation resultswere given in this paper. According to the results of the simulation, the antennadeformed by the Vivaldi antenna called ridged waveguide antenna has a widebeam-width. The waveguide antenna was manufactured, and it would be measuredin the anechoic chamber. |
