Gyroscope is a sensor that measure angular velocity which is widely used invarious fields. The process of gyroscope signal has a great impact on the overallperformance, the analog processing technology of Gyro-signal is very mature atpresent, but due to the noise and the temperature drift and other shortcomings of theanalog circuit, the development of micro-mechanical gyro is limited. Digital gyrohas superior performance and accuracy, so the signal processin g of gyroscope willtake digital methods.This article designed a platform for the digital signal processing of Silicongyroscope. We use the flexibility and adaptability of the FPGA-based signalprocessing platform to support the research of digital Gyro scope. First, the workingprinciple of silicon gyroscope and the method of the digital gyroscope signal areanalyzed,and analyzed the function and performance requirements of the digitalsignal processing platform, established the IP blocks needed. Determined the mainfunctional modules according to the demand and do simulation and performanceevaluation to them, on this basis we built the minimum system hardware platformof the digital signal processing platform including a processor, a memory and GPIO,the WISHBONE bus makes their connection. Established a software environmentaccording to the hardware platform, prepared the corresponding software testingprocedures, did hardware and software co-simulation to the minimum system.Then design the input/output modules used to the signal of silicon micro-machined gyroscope inc luding AD interface, DA interface and DSP interfacemodule. On this basis, we imp lemented the overall digital signal processingplatform, which also inc ludes Timer, UART interfaces, SPI a nd other peripheralmodules, to correspond with the software framework and program modules,eventually a digital signal processing gyro platform formed, the platform is full-featured, highly flexible and scalable. Finally, did a comprehensive software andhardware simulation to the platform, and used the synthesis tools of Xilinx to getthe resource and performance evaluation.
