Large numbers of food security incidents and the outstanding problems of issue ofagriculture, farmer and rural area bring urgent social needs for new types of agriculture whichare different from traditional ones. Shi Yan, a female Dr. of Renmin University of China cameback from America in2008with the model of “Community Supported Agriculture” andestablished Little Donkey Farm. As the first standard-operationed CSA farm, Little DonkeyFarm has caused widespread concern of home and abroad media. This essay makes framinganalysis of eighty six Chinese newspaper reports from2008to2013,including analysis ofreporting content、reporting time and amount、reporting form. The reporting content includesthe growth process of Shi Yan—the founder of Little Donkey Farm and her witnesses in USA,the rural construction team,the operation condition and positive effect of Little Donkey Farm,as well as the origin,current development conditions and challenges of CSA. The reportingtime is related with the reporting amount, May and June, November to January,2010to2012are reporting peaks.Correspondence is the main reporting type, the second iscommentary,then is news.45.3%of passages have pictures, and these pictures are mainlydistributed in March to May, and September to November, and2010to2012.Men and LittleDonkey Farm are main contents of these pictures. Based on framing analysis, I point outproblems of these reports, and put forward suggestions to newspaper to improve reportingquality.
