Research On Key Factors Of The Process Applying Cloud Computing To EISs

In current market conditions，the increasing number of enterprises have built or aregoing to built their Information System. Practices show that informatization can effectivelyimprove business efficiency while keeping cost down in the business. However, thetraditional ways of informatization are faced with problems like:(1) With the rapidexpansion of IT the refresh cycle of network, software and hardware is becoming shorterwhile the replacement cost of infrastructure is increasing.(2) The software and hardwarewhich EISs rely on need more cost to support later operation and maintenance.(3) Thecentralized and unified management of enterprise information and resources is hard to reach.Cloud computing is a new IT service mode which is based on distributed computing andvirtualization, providing diversified IT services to many users through the internetsimultaneously.It can help enterprises to improve business agility, and effectively reducethe investment on infrastructure and software system and maintenance expenditure.Therefore, cloud makes enterprises’ informationization face new choice and decision. Incloud environment, problems such as the necessity of cloud migration and key factors whenmigrating EIS to cloud are important and urgent issues to be solved.Starting from the actual needs of an enterprise and the features of cloud service mode,this paper put forwards four key stages as followings：strategy planning stage，serviceselection stage，service migration stage and service governance stage. Based on existing ISsuccess model，it builds success model of applying cloud to EISs which offers a directionfor studying key factors for the process of applying cloud to EISs. Then based on existingresearch result for IS implementation, it studied key factors of each stage when applyingcloud to EISs. This paper supplies a reference for applying cloud to EIS in the future.
