With the IoT(Internet of Things) applications becoming mass popularity, more and more mobile terminal also will present. Most of IoT terminals can only be applied to a particular area, the single-function characteristic of the mobile terminals have been unable to meet the market demand, furthermore, forest fire prevention, emergency logistics, geological exploration and military operations need to be carried out fieldwork areas, due to complex field situation, the existing terminal is unable to meet the field operation demand for navigation and communications services, therefore the design and implementation of a multi-functional, various areas applied IoT mobile terminal are problems to be solved, which is the key point to promote the in-depth development of the Internet of Things.The design of a multi-functional IoT mobile terminal is the research objectives of this paper, using embedded development technology, data sensing technology, wireless communication technology and instant communication technology, the IoT mobile terminal is designed with multi-data-awareness, navigation point, multi-communication network auto-adaptive switching, and the instant packet communication functions, and finally a multifunctional IoT mobile terminal is implemented. The major research works is detailed as follows: 1, On the basis of the study of IoT mobile terminal status, the research goals of the multifunction mobile terminal is presented, the overall framework of the multi-functional IoT the mobile terminal is provided, including the design of hardware and software platform of IoT mobile terminal, as well as the overall design of the three functional modules of terminal core functional modules including navigation point, multi-communication network auto-adaptive switching, instant packet communication.2, Research and shortcomings of the existing location service technology is analyzed, using the Beidou positioning system, the acceleration sensor and camera equipment to collect data, a navigation point program is provided, which make up for the inadequate point of the existing GNSS.3, Base on the analysis of existing communication technologies of3G, Wi-Fi and Beidou, the multifunction IoT mobile terminal communication network auto-adaptive switching solutions is proposed, it can provide users for economical and reliable real-time network traffic data services anytime, anywhere.4, For the difference between mobile communication networks and Beidou, the technical solution of the the instant packet communication of the mobile communication network, and Beidou instant communications network packet communication is proposed, which implements real-time group communication and collaboration completing job.5, For the core function module for terminal, multi-functional IoT mobile terminal test is verified the effectiveness of the IoT multi mobile terminal communication network auto-adaptive switching, instant packet communication and navigation point.
