The Design And Implementation Of Application Server In Network Video Monitoring System

Distributed network video surveillance system can be simply interpreted ascontrolling and managing the distributed monitoring devices centrally on the sameplatform so that the information can be exchanged,shared and processed.Due to the relatively large scale of the distributed network video surveillancesystem,we need to make the participants in the distributed deployment with loose couplingcharacteristics to achieve decentralized control,dynamic extension and flexible networking;and due to the monitoring devices may come from different manufacturers with differentinterfaces and protocols,we also need to overcome the problem of interoperability toachieve flexible integration of heterogeneous devices.The application server in this paper properly meets to the above needs. On the overallarchitecture,the application server adopts the messaging middleware based on publish/subscribe model technology to make the participants in the network video surveillancesystem to be asynchronous, anonymous, dynamic and loosely coupled; in the softwarelogic level, the application server uses the three-tier design ideas and simple factoryinterface integration technology so that the monitoring integrated platform can becompatible with different heterogeneous subsystems, different manufacturers, differenttechnology monitoring products can be incorporated into this open platform with goodscalability; on the transaction, the application server establish a set of unified messagingsystem using XML language to be compatible with various subsystems with differenttypes of communication mode and a variety of communication formats,it works as abridge that can connect the response of each of the monitoring devices.The application server in this paper is the core module to develop a scalable, open,unified linkage network video surveillance system with the modern management.
