The thin disk laser,which allows reslization of lasers with high outputpower,high efficiency,and good beam quality simultaneously has become the mostimportant developing aspects of the laser diode-pumped solid-state lasers.Thin-disklaser technology has been widely studied due to the needs of laser processing.Basedon applied of mode-locked laser,experiment and theory have been studied in thispaper.Hundreds kilohertz pico-second pulsed laser based on laser diode side-pumpedNd:YVO4laser crystal with double-passed scheme was achieved in experiment.Theheat effect and the self-foucus of amplifier has been analysed. And a concave lenswas applied to adjust the divergence angle of the incident seeder laser beam andkeep light spot fit the laser crystal. An average power of49.8W with pulse width9.6ps, M2of1.5was achieved after two amplifiers.A femtosecond laser machine which make the PCF amplifier as centralconfiguration has been researched,then the cylinder hole is drilled in1mm thicknessSiC ceramics;The polarization-dependent optical guiding of type II waveguides hasbeen studied also.Four times pumped system of thin disk laser has already been found., Thecavity was designed through the ABCD matrix.experiment results have beenobserved. However, the experiment results are not optimal due to time limitation.Further work will be done in the future.At last, a few ideas combining with the practice for the later work were putforward.
