Research On Program Form Of Reality Television In China-from2001to2011

In the first decade of this century, as a new program form, Reality TV began its travel in China andgot a prosperity. It has produced spectacles one after another with the program form alternatingconstantly. Even to this day, the powerful attraction of Reality TV has not waned despite the influenceof the cyclical nature of TV programs and the criticism to them. On the contrary, the exploration andinnovation of the program form have proceeded. Therefore, the study of the evolving logic of ChineseReality TV is of vital importance in theory and practice.This study focuses on the program form of Reality TV, elaborates the category of program form,put forward two parts of the Reality TV’s form as the foundation of analysis. This study alwaysintegrates movement and quietness, bases its core principle on the macroscopic dynamic level.Meanwhile, it establishes the longitudinal study on the basis of static transverse research. Byresolving some key programs, also comparing both vertical and lateral variations, the study tries toanalyse the form evolution of Reality TV in China. The end result of this study is the reform andexpansion of Reality TV’s program form, the whole discussion ultimately serves them, which reflectthe significance of this research.
