In recent decades, Synthetic Aperture Radar technology has made significantachievements in the field of microwave remote sensing technique, by the militaryapplication domain gradually infiltrate into civilian areas. The SAR technology hasbeen widely applied to geological science, agricultural science, disaster monitoring,etc. Because the SAR technology is very complicated, the system simulation ofSAR is particularly important in the development process, providing the analysis oferrors and reference for designing the SAR system.It is presented that the present researches the future development space of SARand InSAR technology in domestic and foreign. In addition, the principle andcharacteristics of the SAR technology have been discussed in detail. Based on thepoint target model, the simulation software has been completed, thought the SARsystem modeling and simulation.There are two parts in the software, including the SAR simulation system andthe SAR echo system. System simulation is presented to simulate the radar signal.In the transmiting sytem, after transmiting it through orthogonal modulation, theradar signal goes into the modulations of frequency multiplier and power amplifier.In the receiving system, the echo signal is simulated from the transmiting system,and then sent into the modulations of mixer under frequency conversion andorthogonal demodulation. Echo signal is processed using the Range-Doppleralgorithm.Not ideally, the errors that affect the precision of the SAR system are analyzedin this thesis. The analysis of errors has been set up in the software options,conveniently for distributing the parameter errors in the overall design of the SARsystem. To the transmiting system as an example, the error source is described indetail, including frequency modulation slope error and phase error, orthogonalmodulation error, frequency multiplier phase error and power amplifier nonlinearerror, brought in the process of radar signal generation.The advantages of VC programming are presented in this thesis, using theMFC in Microsoft Visual Studio2008for software written. The software of theSAR system simulation has been completed, including transceiver systems with parameter modulation and echo signal simulation system. Finally, the use of thesoftware is introduced in detail.
