The precision of the gyroscope decides the precision of the inertial navigationsystem. It is an efficient way to improve the accuracy of the inertial navigation systemthrough testing the gyroscope strictly, mastering the law of gyroscope drift, setting upthe drift model, and error compensation.This article mainly use a type of single-axis turntable with inertial sensingelement(precision single-axis turntable) to test floated gyroscope with a single degree.The main contents are as follows:Firstly, this paper introduces the working principle of existing traditional turntableand then reports a new test table. To know more about the single degree gyroscope, thedetailed static error models, dynamic errors models are derived.Secondly, on the basis of establish the generalized coordinates, the model ofshafting of the precision single-axis turntable, the model of sensor-the floatedgyroscope, the accelerometer measuring the centripetal acceleration, the accelerometermeasuring the tangential acceleration and the model of gyroscope under test are built. Inview of the rate of accuracy and rate stability, the contrasting between precisionsingle-axis turntable and existing traditional turntable are performed and result provesprecision single-axis turntable is better.Thirdly, The scheme of tumble, constant rate and angular vibration by usingprecision single-axis turntable are studied. The impact of the rate of accuracy and ratestability of precision single-axis turntable on the test is analyzed. Then, automaticcompensation of the turntable base is proposed and the benefits of high angular rate ofprecision single-axis turntable is proved.Finally, The gyro random drift model is discussed. The mathematical model hasbeen established for random drift by using the ARMA model and the simulation hasproved its practical.
