Research On The Communication Of ACG Subculture In China

ACG is short for Animations, Comics and Games, especially for those fromJapan. With the development of national economy and the trend of opening up, theChina’s cultural environment is becoming more and more diverse. In this context, as akind of culture phenomenon from Japan, the spread of ACG subculture is tend to bemore booming day by day. The paper starts from the communication point, stands onthe phenomenon of the ACG subculture spreading in China, and targets to the modeof the spread of ACG subculture in China. By considering each link and element inthe propagation, this article tries to analyze the incoming effects that this propagationmay do on China’s culture environment, and tries to provide several constructiveadvises for the development of Chinese ACG industry.The first part of this paper’s research started by clarifying several concepts. Thenwe investigated the meaning under current social content of two words-"ACG" and"Dongman(animation)" and the subculture characteristic of ACG subculture. Afterthat, to lay the foundation for the contents below, this paper inspected the history ofthe ACG subculture propagation in China by dividing it into four periods. In thesecond part, the paper analyzed the mode of the ACG subculture propagation in Chinavisually from both the ACG artistic works side and the ACG information side. Thepaper’s third part developed the second part and got a deeper analysis on thecharacteristic of the ACG propagation in China by researching the propagation effectsof the mass media, the opinion leaders and the audience. On the basis of the previous,the last part of the paper discussed the potential affect on both the industry side andthe culture side that the ACG subculture propagation may make. And then the papertried to provide some reasonable suggestion for the development of China’s ACGindustry and culture environment by summarizing the revelations that we may acquireby studying the propagation of the ACG subculture in China.
