Railway signal devices are the important infrastructures to improve signal laborconditions and ensure traffic safety, however, due to the varieties of classification andcomplex failure phenomenon together with causes; most failure needs manual processing.Currently, signal equipment maintenance yet using the methods of signal workers attendingand leaders organizing “field supervision” which have many malpractices like undetectedhappens timely, disorderly problems exit seriously, huge inspection cost, records storedispersedly and history records can not keep well.This thesis combined the technologies of RFID(Radio Frequency Identification),single-chip, database and information management, a railway signal equipment patrol systemis designed which can effectively supervise the electricity department staff operating inaccordance with the plan, record equipment maintenance time, operation status together withfault phenomenon and reasons, thus, to provide reliable data for future repairs, improvemaintenance quality and ensure the railway signal devices operate normally.Firstly, on the basis of analyzing RFID technology, combined with the applicationenvironment, demonstrating the design principles and function requirements, an optimaldesign scheme of the system is proposed, which consists of person/equipment informationcard, RFID patrol device and the host information management system.Secondly, the hardware circuits of the RFID patrol device are designed by introducingRFID reader, power supply, storage, USB communication interface, LCD display and othermodules, presenting optimization design methods and steps of the antenna through analyzingthe theoretical basis of passive inductively coupled RFID system to complete the RFID patroldevice’s antenna design; the appropriate driver software is designed based on the hardware,mainly focused on the realization of the read/write process and program of the Mifare1S50card. In addition, the interference exist in system is analyzed deeply and the effectiveanti-interference design methods are applied in both hardware and software aspects.Finally, a host computer information management system is designed by utilizing VisualC++development platform and SQL Server2005database, to complete the functions likemanaging user and personl/equipment information, arranging plans, uploading maintenanceresults, appraising staff’s work and so on. Through analyzing the structure, work principle anddata communication protocols of Mifare1S50card, the RFID card sitting module is designedto write information into person/equipment information card.The system has the characteristics like reasonable structure, good ratio of performanceand cost, high reliability and just named a few, the test result shows that the reading distanceis stable, each module operates normally, and achieves the expected goals, so the research has some practical value and good market prospects.
