And we can store and manage the data of Yunnan province gems through the establishment of a database management system. This system is developed by C language from the ground, we can control and manage MDB format on the Access database through the C language called ADO. In this paper, the designing of database and management system is based on the actual data and the work demands. Considering the practical situation of the user, system operation is simple and concise. At the same time, in the design to take into account the follow-up issues, so the system has strong expansibility, so that we can write functional module according to the needs of users, or develop into the gems information systems of Yunnan Province on the basis of this system directly in the future.
