The research of Information hiding is a hot problem in the field of information security, in order to achieve covert communication by embedding in the public images, audio, video and other digital media.Information hiding technique uses the insensitivity of human senses and information inherent redundancy to embed certain information into the host signal (such as images, sound, video, or text documents) which can be detected or extracted hidden signal technology if necessary by software or hardware. Increasing the complexity of analysis can greatly improve the security of hiding algorithm. Furthermore the extraction of the hidden information needn’t the original carrier or the original hidden information.The main work includes the following aspects:Firstly, according to the characteristics of information hiding, the matrix energy of image data can be concentrated in the upper left corner only after DCT transform, and hidden information can be hided in low energy-location by DCT transform or other transform and the advantages and disadvantages of the DCT and the LOT algorithm are discussed.Secondly, in this paper, the information hiding and the impact of the different sub-block DCT transform are discussed, and information hiding method based on the specification class orthogonal matrix is put forward. Finally, according to architecture model of information hiding system, implementation based on the specification class orthogonal matrix is put forward. And it is successful to run on the Quartus hardware platform with the language of Verilog HDL.The article includes hardware realization of information hiding system, and includes a comparative experiment.The simulation result shows that the LOT algorithm can eliminate the boundary block. The restoration of image detail is more clear than DCT recovery image in the same compression ratio which is not too large. However, there is no obviously difference between them in large compression ratio. Information hiding method based on the specification class orthogonal matrix can effectively achieve the information hiding, and successfully send and extract hidden information at the same time.
