Information hiding (IH) technology has become an important field of modern information security, which is used to embed secret message into carriers (images, videos, texts, et al).In all carriers, text is an important way for people to exchanging their information. Therefore, this paper will be focused on the text information hiding (TIH) technology.Traditional TIH technologies were achieved by embedding the format of text. They were not robust when attacked by the re-entry attack. To deal with this problem, lots of researchers have proposed natural language information hiding (NLIH) technology, which is employed to embed secret message into the semantics of text.By analyzing the current NLIH technologies, it has been found out that the existing algorithms are incapable of hiding capacity and the cover process combined closely with coding algorithms. The NLIH algorithm based on abstract embedding unit (AEU) could solve the problems. But at the same time it was a general-purpose algorithm, lack of performance noticeably in specific applications.Based on the above issues, we propose two NLIH algorithms based on matrix coding, in which we fuse matrix encoding and NLIH algorithm based on AEU, use many texts as the carrier to improve hiding capacity. So that two algorithms are designed according to applications of covert communication and fragile watermarking. Finally, we design and implement a prototype system, English corpus is used as testing texts in the experiments. The resuls of experiments show that the algorithms in this paper are full of performance in specific applications.
