Under the background of cloud computing, the development of Web-basedapplications has become the development trend. Web program relative to thetraditional form of application software program has many advantages, such as withoutthe need to install the cross-platform and easy upgrade and maintenance. Theinteractive video is a new kind of multimedia, which allows the user to interact withthe objects in the video screen when playing videos. Its wide range of applications,such as may be used in the field of advertising, teaching areas and networkentertainment. Prior to this, my group of projects in the laboratory worked with Xcompany co-produced a desktop version of the interactive video system.But because ofthe desktop version of the interactive video system can only be run on a Windowssystem, but also require the user to download and install, thus limiting the user.Company X proposed new cooperation requirements in accordance with the marketreaction. In view of the above,I take part in the procedure of requirement,design,and implementation。After analyzed of the old desktop version of the interactive video editor, wedesigned a new Web version of the interactive video editor solution which is based onHTML5’s new features and the RPC protocol. The new solution is MVC (Model ViewController) architecture.“View” represents the user interface which using HTML5technology implementation. By means of using the RPC, Java and other technologies,the server achieves the “Controller”. The function of the “Model” is a video processing,which is developed on OPENCV lib. The new solution takes into account thecharacteristics of the parties, try to balance each party’s work load and improve thesystem reliability. The new solution allows users, through the system, to use a browserthat supports HTML5standard editing interactive video without having to install anyplug-ins. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the new solution.Web-based interactive video system currently on the market has not yet appeared.And other Web-based video applications are targeted at specific systems rely on theinstalled plug-ins to achieve. So there is almost no reference, which makes the system development to become difficult. But these difficulties are overcome, and eventuallycompleted the Web-based interactive video system. This article is summed up practice,so it practical and innovative.Has a role in promoting the commercialization of thesystem for interactive video. The system has certain reference value is similar to theWeb-based video system applications developed for latecomers.
