In the modern electronic warfare, with the development of reconnaissance andjamming methods, different kinds of new radar system are put forward and studied.MIMO(Multi-input multi-output) radar, which emits and receives orthogonalmulti-carrier signals, has plenty of advantages, such as better working mode, strongerresistance to interception and higher angular resolution. Of course it becomes one of thehot spots of the new type radar equipments which are studied and made both at homeand abroad. Because of the great threat in military affairs caused by MIMO radar, howto give it an effective jamming method becomes an important problem.This thesis aims at how to give MIMO radar an active deception jamming.Considering its different working principle and signal processing, the weak links to beeasily interfered are found out. It also breaks out the limit of traditional deceptionjamming, puts forward several jamming methods especially for MIMO radar and allthese methods are verified with simulations, which lays the foundation for the futureresearch of MIMO radar deception jamming methods. The following are the maincontents and innovations of this thesis:(1) The characteristics, signal processing, generating principles and basic conceptof MIMO radar are analyzed and studied.(2) The signal processing flow is analyzed from matched filtering to beam-formingand the digital beam-forming is verified with simulations. weak links of MIMO radar insignal processing are found out and the further methods of deception jamming areexplored.(3) Under the modeling condition of self-defence jamming, general jammingmethods such as distance deceptive jamming, speed deceptive jamming, distance wavegate drawing-out jamming and speed wave gate drawing-out jamming are analyzed intheir mechanism and put into use for MIMO radar. Of course, the efficiency is estimated,which is verified with simulations.(4)Based on the difference in signal processing between conventional radar andMIMO radar, several effective jamming methods such as the linear frequency shifted deceptive jamming, random sub-carrier delayed jamming and random sub-carrierphase-shifted jamming which are specialized for MIMO radar are put forward and theirperformance are simulated respectively. Finally, the efficiency of all the jammingmethod above is estimated and compared.
