Design And Implementation Of Changjiang Professional College Teaching Material Management System Based On C/S

Teaching material management is the key part of the teaching management whichis the center work in higher vocational colleges management work. Informationcontained in teaching material management is abreast of the times or accurate andtimely operation affecting the entire teaching process in smooth operation and teachingquality.The traditional teaching material management was uesd to be based on manual orsemi-automatic ways before, such as orders, classifications, storage, distribution, andfinancial statements in different schools which should be completed manually. Thetraditional way had made management staff suffer a lot of pressure at work, causemisplay in fee and orders, and reduce the efficiency of work, lag data query, whichdramatically affect the efficiency of school management, and even the operation ofteaching process. It is necessary to develop a suitable teaching material managementsoftware by using modern methods and high technology to improve work efficiency.With the increasing use of the campus network construction and softwaredevelopment technology, based on the C/S structure application in universityeducational administration system has been widely used in development, so as toimprove the work efficiency and simplified the working process of the objective.From the analysis of the current situation of teaching material management and thetraditional teaching material management methods, This essay illustrates the problemsof manual material management mode, and propose the specific solutions.The main contents are as follows:First, the author do analyse of the current situation of manual mode of teachingmaterial management and the problems which need to be solved urgently.Secdonly, by studying the characteristics of teaching material management of Changjiang Professional College, the author analyses the demand of teachingmaterial management system of Changjiang Professional Colleg, and the design andimplementation, such as system login module, user management platform module,material storage and distribution module, fee management module.Finally, the author researches the C/S mode usability and discusses how toconstruct the network system, combined with the specific circumstances of ChangjiangProfessional College. The new teaching materials system will be constructed by usingC/S structure mode, PowerBuilder as a development platform, and PowerScriptlanguage as a development tool, background database system using Microsoft SQLSERVER2000.The implementation of the new system has perfect function, easy procession,practical application, friendly interface, and great security, also meet the functional andperformance requirements of teaching material management in colleges anduniversities.
