The urgent needs of modern radars anti-interference and strong viabilities topromote the rapid development of digital waveform synthesis technology. Digitalwaveform has the advantages of high frequency and phase resolution, strict coherence,high stability and programmable output, provide conditions for the realization of thefrequency agility of the waveform and arbitrary waveform output, which can meet theneeds of the different working environment, has been widely used in modern radarsdesign. Therefore, the research of digital waveform generation technology has importantpractical significance.This dissertation based on the in-depth study of the principle of direct digitalsynthesis (DDS), complete the two design schemes of intermediate frequency (IF)waveform generation based on DDWS technology and SOPC technology+FPGA+high-speed D/A, complete the circuit design and debugging, and the two schemes of theFPGA logic development and testing, and testing and analysis the waveform generatedby the two schemes of IF waveform generation in the hardware.In this dissertation, the primary work includes:1. Introduces the basic theory of digital waveform generation, then analysis theprinciple and error of DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis) technique.2. Analysis and complete the two schemes design of IF waveform synthesis basedon DDWS technology: The scheme of direct IF sampling and the scheme of basebanddigital waveform synthesis+digital orthogonal modulation.3. Completed the system design, software and hardware design and debugging ofthe broadband multi-mode radar waveform generator based on SOPC technology+FPGA+high-speed D/A.4. Completed the test and analysis of two schemes of IF waveform generation.
