Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is const with a large number of differentfunctions, self-organization nodes. The sensor nodes in the network carrying differenttypes of sensor sensing environmental information and working together with othernodes to collect environment information.Compared to other wireless communication technology, ZigBee technology hasobvious advantages in terms of the application of wireless sensor networks. In recentyears, more and more institutions are starting the researching of the wireless sensornetwork technology. Even though WSN has been widely used in the fields of industry,agriculture, logistics, transport and so on. Many aspects should be better, such asmono-function, high power consumption, large size, short transmission distance.Therefore, research in this area has become a hot spot.After study the technical characteristics and application of WSN with the contrastchips and sensors solutions, this paper designed ZigBee nodes which used in warehouseenvironmental monitoring. First, these nodes can sensor such as temperature, humidity,smoke and PIR; Secondly, the accuracy of the monitor parameter is high enough for useand the power consumption of the battery-powered nodes is very low; At the same time,RF path of the node is optimized to improve the point-to-point transmission distance;Finally, modular hardware design make the volume of the sensor nodes small.The main targets of this article are hardware design and embedded software design;the PC software for testing; the node hardware test and simulation; multiple nodes onnetwork testing.
