Supplier selection is the core content of the supply chain management, and it has adirect impact on the cost of the supply chain, in response to the speed and efficiency as wellas product quality and service quality, thereby affecting customer satisfaction and thecompany’s overall competitiveness. The product design is the source of the entire supplychain, have an important impact in the product design process for supplier selection andsubsequent parts manufacturing process as well as the market response. It can be said, thesupply chain’s success depends on the ability of the product design and supply chain, andthe success of the product depends on the product supply chain.The products and parts design will affect the demand for our products and supply chaincosts, so in this paper, product design was integrated into the supplier selection process,taking into account the choice of products and components design and choice of suppliersfor integrated decision-making, considering suppliers supply capacity and delivery leadtime as constraint. In order to better meet the actual situation, economics of scale structurewas considered, and the mathematical model was established.The model involves many parameters and variables, to solve this model, a two-phaseheuristic algorithm was designed. At the first stage, parts design and parts suppliers wereselected, and at the second stage, the optimization of the allocation was determined tomaximize profits. As for characteristics of model solutions, binary coded variables will helpthe algorithm progress faster. In order to strengthen the global search ability of geneticalgorithms to prevent premature and late, a kind of adaptive operation was introduced. Thusthe algorithm optimization ability was improved. Finally, using the data in the literature andgiven the data, a numerical example was designed to verify the validity of the model andalgorithm. Through the analysis of the calculation results and important parametersensitivity analysis, and comparison with conventional supplier options, this article providesa reference for supplier selection decisions.
