The Research And Design Of The Service Discovery Technology For The Low-cost Interface Circuit

The rapid development of communication network technology has accelerated theemergence of information appliances, smart home products can be utilized because of thehome network interface protocols.Howerver,the protocols are not uniform,and the intelligenthome network has high requirements to the hardware and software,it is difficult to build thehome network.UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) protocol is an international standards and has greatpotential, but it has a high requirement to the hardware and it used to on the smart devicessuch as ARM board and smart phones,so the UPnP protocol can be the standard protocol ofgateway, but the cost the UPnP protocol used to the network appliances, home appliances andother peripheral devices. Therefore,the research of home network protocols used in theembedded devices based UPnP protocol has a positive meaning.In this paper, the MCU STM32is used as the microcontroller of the interface circuit,and it controls the input and output signals of the samart appliances, the lightweight UPnPProtocol is ported to it, the information of the home appliances is saved as an XML documentin the flash of the MCU, the total interface circuit act as a UPnP device in the network. thehome gateway is based on ARM9platform, and it is ported the UPnP SDK We develop theapplication program of the UPnP control point, the home gateway can discovery the service ofsimplified MCU UPnP device and control it successfully.The features of this paper including: We achieve the communication between ARMgateway and MCU UPnP device under the UPnP mechanism, verifying the lightweight UPnPprotocol is compatible to the integral UPnP, and also we achieve the control page based on theBrowser/Server architecture, have a test of service discovery in a LAN. At the same time,wedesign a service discovery method with the combination of UPnP Proxy and SOA using in theWAN, and the technology process has been realized.
