With the plastic products being used more and more widely in industrialproduction and our daily life, handling devices used for injection moulding machineshave become one of the main automatic equipment in modern plastic manufacturingindustry. With them we can greatly improve the quality of plastic products and productionefficiency. However, the rotating arm and pneumatic handling devices can not meet the marketdemand. Owing to the advantages of the high performance in motion control and flexible operation, servo handling devices have become a new direction for the development of the handling devicesused for injection moulding machines. This paper is based on the study of the five-axis servo handling devices used forinjection moulding machines. The hand-operator is a man-machine interaction devicebased on LDJ-eWin7000touch screen as its core, which can display the status of thehandling devices and send control instructions to control the handling devices and injectionmoulding machines. Firstly, this paper introduces the servo handling devices controlsystem and analyzes the software requirement of the hand-operator. Secondly, thecommunication protocol has been designed and a man-machine interface based onergonomics theory has been developed. The man-machine interface is simple, friendly, convenient and consistent. Using a modular design approach, the complex hand-operator software is divided into relatively independent modules, and then all modulesare programmed and implemented under Visual Studio2008development environment. The acceptance conclusion shows that the interface is clear and easy to operate. Thehand-operator software meets the design requirements.
