| Ma Thin yeh was a famous journalist in the journalistic history of modernChina,and he was a Party member of Kuomintang.During the period of mainland ofKuomintang,he took part in various of journalistic activities.In the1930’,he studiedabroad in the college of journalism of the university of Missouri to receive theprofessional journalism education.After repatriated,he participated to establish thedepartment of journalism of Central Politic College. He tough here for fourteen years.Then he worked in the Department of propaganda of KMT.In1945,he became thepressman of Nanjing Central Daily News which is the Party newspaper of KMT andlead the newspaper to be corporatized. During this period,he press a large number ofpassages about journalism.His journalistic thought during his period of mainland isworth to be researched.The journalistic thought of Ma Thin yeh during his period of mainland isdepended on the influence of Chinese traditional culture,the influence of Sun yat-sen’sThree People’s Principles,the influence of Western advanced journalism ideas,and thesummery on his own experiment of journalism.The main content of his journalisticthought conclude seven aspects: the thought of journalism ontology,the thought of thethree people’s principles,the thought of freedom of press, the thought of professionaljournalism education,the thought of journalism during the war,the thought ofjournalistic apply and the management of Party newspaper,the thought of mediaethics.The journalistic thought of Ma Thin yeh during his period of mainland whichdepended on Three People’s Principle and digested the best feature of Chinese cultureand Western culture was not only in a developing process,but also got a huge gapbetween his thought and reality.
