The Research And Analyze From The Present Situation Of Cloud Based PLE Applied In College Students’ English Learning

With the rapid development of information technologies, cloud computing isbooming in recent two years. IBM, Google, Microsoft and other large companies havebeen offering cloud services, getting into peoples education and work, changed ourconcept of learning and education. Construction of personal learning environmentsbased on cloud services can arrange private study time, offer more responsive to theneeds of learners, and be good for the development of personality, and easy access tolearning resources.Contemporary fast pace requires our lifelong learning and informal learning.Cloud computing can create favorable conditions for personal e-learning environmentwith those features of huge storage, easy access to learning resources etc.Contemporary college students have the big demand of developing their personality. Ichose this subject in English because English is suitable for individualized learning.This article first describes the fundamental elements of the personal learningenvironment (PLE) and typical representatives of theoretical which stand by PLE,basic introduction to cloud services is also included. Then I introduce the concept ofpersonal knowledge management which constitutes of searching, knowledge ofprocessing, collaborative communication, sharing and innovation. Next, make asummary on the study based on cloud services.The second section is the analysis report of questionnaire survey on collegestudents English informal learning and cloud services apply in English learning. Theanalysis of questionnaire from two aspects to research, first, analysis of the currentsituation of college students informal English learning; second, make a depth of studyon correlation analysis between the factors.The third section is made several suggestions on personal English learningenvironments based on cloud services.The article is aimed at building a sound knowledge management environment forcollege students English learning, promoting English learning ability. I mainly useliterature analysis, questionnaires, comparative analysis of methods to make in-depth studies, and make the quantitative and qualitative analysis of responses to thequestionnaire, expecting that ease difficulties we often encounter in learning English,improve the efficiency of our English study.
