With the development of the research on the fourth generation wirelesscommunication technology and digital media technology, people’s demand forwireless transmission rate and signal bandwidth is increasing. With up to7GHzunlicensed spectrum,up to10W transmission power and Gigabit data transmissionrate,60GHz wireless communication system is considered as one of the mostpromising short distance wireless communication technology. Research and design of60GHz wireless communication receiving system plays an important guiding role inthe design and development of various60GHz application products, systems andnetworks.At present, the more popular correlation receiving mode and its realizationprocess needs accurate channel estimation and time synchronization. Therefore, it’sdifficult for60GHz wireless communication system to implement correlation receivewhose timing requirement is nanosecond. Correlation receiver needs large powerconsumption and channel estimation, so it is difficult to achieve. In order to remedythe defects of correlation receiver, this paper presents the amplitude detectionreceiving for60GHz wireless communication system and makes research on bit errorrate performance and improvement strategy. Firstly, this paper introduces the researchbackground and significance of60GHz wireless communication system, elaborates itsrelated technical basis of pulse waveform design and pulse modulation. Secondly, itintroduces three basic channel models of wireless communication system, relatedreceiving technology and the basic principle of optimal detector. Thirdly, this paperexpounds the principle of one user amplitude detection receiver systems. Based onPPM and PAM systems, this paper deduced BER formula and the Monte Carlosimulation experiment for60GHz wireless communication amplitude detectionsystems in3c channel. Finally,60GHz indoor studio channel environment for IEEETG3c recommended the magnitude of receiving system put forward the best threshold,more decision, with multiple receive antennas to improve strategy of three-point, andit is proved that the improved effectively the influence strategies on the amplitude ofreceived bit error rate performance of the system by simulation experiment. Finally,this paper puts forward three strategies for the amplitude receiving system in60GHz indoor line-of-sight channel recommended by IEEE TG3c, such as the optimaldecision threshold, several sentences, several antennas. Simulation experiment provesthat the improved strategy effective impact on the amplitude receiving system in BERperformance.Studies of this paper shows that,60GHz wireless communication amplitudereceiving system is a kind of system with low power consumption, low cost, smallvolume, and it’s easy to implement it. Through the three improvement strategiesproposed by this paper, amplitude receiving system can decrease bit error rate withslightly increment of the algorithm complexity and the cost. The60GHz wirelesscommunication amplitude receiving system is recommended to be used in the shortdistance communication environment which has strict cost control and low accuracyrequirement.
