Testing is the primary means of understanding the world around. Since mastered bypeople, the testing process is entire manual operation for a long time. With the progress ofscience and technology, measuring equipment is also tremendous changing. And testing toolsof having originally single function are also evolving into multi-functional, high-performanceinstruments and equipment. And the following changes happened in the test process. Artificialand half-artificial testing is transformed into automated and smart testing. The application oftesting is involved in such fields as military, transportation, energy and environment. Basedon this, the design and implementation ATS (Automatic Test System) of amplitude-frequencycharacteristics with the LAN interface is combined with detection devices to test themeasurand of amplitude-frequency characteristics.This thesis firstly is introduction the TCP/IP protocol and SCPI in the systemimplementation, and then selection the scheme of system, which mainly includes the chips oftest equipment, the interface type of interface board and the development tool of testapplication software.The System hardware is mainly designed including the peripheral circuit of ARM, theinternal module and peripheral circuit of FPGA, the analog signal processing circuit, thesystem input circuit, the display module, and the hardware circuit of interface board. Thesimulation is carried out for the analog signal filter circuit before design. And the simulationresults illustrate that the selection of the filter circuit can meet the design requirements. Thepower supply, the chip pins and the analog signal processing circuit are gradually detected bylaboratory testing tools in the process of hardware design and the test results show that thehardware connection is correct.The DDS module is tested by the SignalTap Ⅱembeddedlogic analyzer with the design software, while designing the internal module of FPGA.Andthe test result is correct.Based on the hardware design, the system application software is developed. The systemprogram design of ARM is gradually implemented according to the module function,whichincludes key input, LCD display, intercommunication with FPGA, and interrupt processingdata. The software design of the microcontroller includes the embedded TCP/IP protocol, theparsed SCPI and the transmited data. The system test application software is developed by thedevelopment tool of Labwindows/CVI to perform the function of sending test data andcommands after completion of the software design of the test equipment and the interfaceboard.Finally, the test equipment and the interface board are respectively on unit testing. Theresults show that the test equipment can generate the sine wave of106Hz-9.2MHz, and the frequency accuracy is less than±0.1%. The interface board can also receive the data tocorrectly parse by sending the test application software to data and analysis. Then, the testequipment and the interface board are on comprehensive test, and the results suggest that testequipment can accord the analytic signal with the corresponding input data.
