The trend of accessing the Internet through one’s mobile is accelerating, which leads to the leapfrog development in mobile web. Such development greatly boosts data stream capacity for mobile carriers. In order to meet those companies’ demand for traffic, traffic analysis system (TAS) is developed. The overall idea of traffic products is: with a goal of increasing revenue and traffic and a focus on supporting marketing efforts, traffic is implemented in all respects based on web services coordination.TAS analyzes and monitors traffic from dimensions such as customers, business, fees, network, terminal, time and location. TAS identifies marketing opportunities in client data usage and targets clients based on their data usage, providing a basis for marketing and traffic strategies. Through analyzing website visits, content classification, users’ content preferences and hot search topics, businesses are empowered to know business development condition and users’content preferences that provide sales people with data for product management and optimization purposes. The project is developed in Java and is developed by the method of iteration. TAS is located at the front-end of business intelligence (BI) of telecommunication companies’ traffic systems and is composed of "analysis domain, monitor domain, management domain, and front-end databases". Analysis domain is divided into business, content, terminal, network, user, location, complaint and traffic monitoring modules. I was involved in the development of six of them, namely, business, terminal, network, user, location and traffic monitoring. Monitor domain offers warnings for key indicators. Management domain provides maintenance for dimensional data in the analysis domain and monitor domain. In addition to TAS, front-end databases offer bases for data and more efficient data access for analysis domain, monitor domain and management domain based on star-mode application data layer.TAS1.0has been published by many telecom companies in a few provinces and is playing an indispensable role in data operations.
