With the increasing dependence on software, this field gradually tends to be much more complicated by the variability and uncertainty of people’s needs for software products. To adapt to the fierce market competition, the enterprises must develop high-quality software products at full speed. However, there is a conflict between the low software productivity and the increasing demand, particularly for small to medium sized software enterprises, which have limited resources, like human, time etc. The E-commerce development in this paper also has this problem. This program belongs to small to medium group. The delayed delivery, unsatisfied quality and low morale among members could be explained by that the traditional software development couldn’t meet the up-to-date needs. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the process of the lightweight software development that applies to small to medium group. It not only provides the guidance for the practice of this system, but also gives other small to medium groups an example. This paper concentrates on the traditional software development, agile process and the merits and demerits of the RUP (rational united process). It also discusses the clipping of RUP model with the combination of the theory of software designing process and system features. The author use Responsibility Matrix to describe the roles, activities, artifacts and workflow. The focus of the process is on determining the internal structure of workflow. Referring to these, including agile process, we’ll finally develop a lightweight software process model named SUP.This process guides the practice. Based on the APPframe which is similar to SSH, The author present the development based on the modules of the front page and the admin page and the communication module with the CRM system. Finally, the development demonstrates the validity and practicality of this process.
