As a new research and application field of mobile ad hoc networks, airborne wirelessmobile ad hoc network has got universal concers in academia and industry. Keeping informationtransmited safely is the key issue to resolve in the field of aviation, especially in the field ofmilitary aviation. The concept, application prospects and research status of the airborne wirelessmobile ad hoc network is introduced in this dissertation, firstly. On this basis, the research on keyagreement is undertaken, combined with the characteristics of airborne wireless mobile ad hocnetwork. The main contributions of the dissertation are summarized as follows:1. Considered the problem of identity authentication on the nodes participated in keyagreement, an identity-based signature algorithm without certificate is proposed, based onElliptic Curve Cryptography. Resolved the problem of key escrow by setting partial private keyand reduced the computation overhead by improving signature and verification equation. Thealgorithm has the function of providing signature forgery attack and replay attack, and has highoperating efficiency as well. It can meet the requirement of security and high efficiency inairborne wireless mobile ad hoc network.2. In order to achieve the security of information transmission between two airplanes indifferent communication groups, a key agreement scheme is proposed. After the mutualauthentication of the two airplanes, which participated in the key agreement, each airplanecalculates the session key with its three secret values and the believable public key of the otherairplane. It needs only one round of communication, small computation overhead and has theadvantage of without key escrow, providing key-compromise impersonation attack and leakageof ephemeral key attack. Compared with the existing similar schemes, it is more suitable to beused in the special environment of airborne wireless mobile ad hoc network.3. Considered the difficulty of implementing centralized group key management andover-consumption on certificate maintenance in airborne wireless mobile ad hoc network, a fullydistributed group key agreement scheme is proposed. The airplanes participating in the group keyagreement exchange their key agreement parameters and key comparison parameters throughtwo rounds of communication, and each airplane can calculate the group key according to the keyagreement parameters. It resolved the problem of single-point failure and imbalance overhead inthe group, and achived group key security, forward security, backward security, authenticationand group key consistency. It only need two rounds of communication and small computationaloverhead in the initial group key agreement and group key update phase, which has highoperating efficiency.4. In order to resolve the problem of security communication when airplanes moving to foreign domains, a inter-domain key agreement scheme is proposed. The home authenticationsends the key agreement parameters to the foreign authentication, after verifying the signature ofthe airplane. Then the airplane and the foreign authentication generate the session keyrespectively. The scheme achieved the mutual authentication between the informationexchanging entities and the anonymity of the airplane. Compared with other inter-domain keyagreement schemes, it has stronger security and smaller computation overhead.
