Compared with the traditional roaming system based on three-dimensional geometricmodeling method, the panoramic roaming system based on ordinary image does not require aexpensive computer. The panoramic roaming system can provide realistic real-time renderingresult and immediate response interactive function, the viewer can get an experience ofimmersive visual scene. The panoramic roaming system can be widely used in virtualadministrative venues, electronic teaching, real estate representation and virtual tourism. Thisroaming system constructing method has advantages of less calculation, independent of thescene, photo level definition and less data storage, etc., and this method is especiallyconcerned in research area of virtual reality technology.This paper focuses on the improvement and optimization of key algorithms of imageregistration and image fusion that related to the creation of virtual roaming system usingcommon two-dimensional image. In the creation process of real virtual panoramic roamingsystem, related two-dimensional image processing algorithms are discussed. Themain-content of this paper is as follows:This paper discussed the meaning of the image registration, as well as current popularclassification of image registration method, and summarized the advantages anddisadvantages of the classical algorithm. In dealing with the symmetrical objects, we find thatthese algorithms are characterized with high mismatching rate, low efficiency and not easy tobecame a common algorithm. The paper proposed an improved image registration algorithmbased on SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) feature detection and fussy Clustering.This method is more efficient in image registration experiment.In this paper, image fusion algorithms are discussed too. We improved an image fusionmethod that could process images with moving objects, while with traditional image fusionmethod; the fused images always have ghosting and white balance disaccord problems. Thismethod is based on local priority multi-resolution suture. The algorithm can effectivelyremove the motion ghosting and have a better white balance, and can enhance the quality ofthe fused image.The paper researched the technologies of creating a roaming panorama and the methodsof user interaction, and improved the algorithms about the viewpoint space roaming forecastand images back-projection cylinder creation. Based on this solution, The paper build anattractive LAN Zhou Panoramic Roaming System with single viewpoint.
