Recently, the video teaching is the commonly multimedia training method in power. The video-technology in teaching has been very mature. But the made content or its order cannot be changed, and the information can be unidirectional transmission but not achieved two-way interaction. A part of the simulation systems adopt3D scene and2D UI in the electric power. The systems resolve the video teaching shortage to some extent, but2D UI is difficult to express the interaction the reality objects and their interactions with the scene. Besides, the interaction process is not intuitive.This paper uses3D virtual reality technology skills to resolve the problem in video teaching and the2D UI. This paper’content researches the virtual reality in3D electric power safety skills simulation training system. The content mainly includes the following aspects. The electric power training system’s requirement is conducted specifically in visual reality; The associated modeling method is reviewed and adopted to realize object model, geographical environment model and sky model; Component technology is used to resolve to the problems of the dislocation model artifacts in the scene; The integration technology combined with the3D point coordinates bound in the database, is applied to realize the power equipment and power scene relative position binding, and is advantage of the model unified organization and management; Scene space partition is put forward combined with collision interaction, which realizes the intersection test and the real-time interaction between the role and the devices rapidly; Scene effect is adopted to reflect light color and map texture, which is improved the verisimilitude and authenticity.Simulation experiment results show that the system meets system requirements (the project’s product related has been delivered to use in Fujian electric-power company training-center actually), which is real-time, interactive, feasibility, efficiency and friendliness. And is easy to operate and high information level. Finally, the paper summarizes the research work, and the problems existing in the virtual reality technology and development was discussed and prospected.
