With the rapid development of wireless communication, the spectrum resource isbecoming more and more valuable. In this situation, the time division duplex (TDD)technology has been paid unprecedented attention. TDD technology is used in China’sindependent research on3G standard TD-SCDMA. Without the requirement of thespectrum symmetry, TDD technology is easy to implement and of lower cost.Theseadvantages make it get more and more concern and attention in the wireless mobilecommunication.In this thesis, a hardware platform is designed to implement the TDD basebandsignal processing, which is based on Xilinx V5FPGA chip XC5VSX35T and Davinciseries DSP chip DM6437core. It is accomplished a transceiver prototype of TDDswitching rate (8KHz). The experiment with the transceiver by receiving the basebandsignal sent-self, achieved the performance of the zero error frame and zero error bit.Joining the RF part, which inverts the baseband signal to40.578GHz millimeterwaveband through three mixers, it simulates a real radio channel environment, and theprototype system is tested the performance.A high switching rate TDD digital transceiver baseband signal processing platformis designed in this thesis. Then produced the TDD transceiver system prototype basedon this platform and complete the prototype test. The first chapter of this thesisintroduce the subject’s background and current situation, TDD technical characteristicsand research significance. The second chapter works out the implementation of the TDDsystem then the third chapter focuses on elaborate the TDD system the variousindicators of the requirements, each module hardware circuit of the realization and thefunction of each module testing and validation of the prototype, In the fourth chapter,the TDD system DSP-side software from design and implementation to the functionalverification of DSP code introduced.The fifth chapter detail the high switching rateTDD digital transceiver system functions in the system prototype hardware platform toachieve validation, as well as baseband since loopback and RF channel twosystem-level verification. Finally, with the final acceptance instrument SmartBit600B test the TDD system base with self loopback and test results of two system-level RFchannel. It is demonstrated the feasibility of the baseband signal processing platformcorrectness as well as the TDD prototype system implemented successfully on thishardware platform through these experiments, and have measured the performance ofthe system prototype in the conversion test.
