With the continuous development of modern industrial technology, mechanicalequipment operation cycle is getting longer and longer, the speed constantly gets faster,people’ requirements of its security also continue to improve, so a real-time method todetect the health state of mechanical equipment is very necessary. As the "blood" ofmodern machinery and equipment, Lubricants contains very rich information to reflectthe health status of machinery and equipment, through analysis, we can get healthinformation machine,which provide important data basis for the further equipmentmaintenance or replacement of oil.This thesis designed a oil debris detection system based the DSP, using TI’sTMS320F28335digital signal processor as the lower machine’s hardware core, Bycontinuous detection of signal from the oil debris sensor,in a laboratory environment,itcan achieve real-time detection of the size of ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic wearparticles which pass through the oil debris sensor,then it can save the results in theferroelectric memory or transmitte it to the PC via the serial port. The main work of thisthesis are as follows:First, the thesis describes the basic characteristics of the the oil debris signal in alaboratory environment,Then introduce the problems faced when using the oil debrissensor to the actual environment.And then have a research on the first (baseline drift)and third type of problem (vibration interference),and give the results of the simulationusing MATLAB, the results show that the method used in this thesis can be a goodsolution to these two types of problems.Second, according to the characteristics of the the oil debris signal, we give thedesign of the system, the system is divided into five modules: The data acquisitionmodule、signal preprocessing module、signal detection module、Results storagemodule and communication module.Then describe the function of each module, andgive overall design for each module, and give the reason why I make such a choice. Insignal preprocessing module,we solves the second type of problem encountered in thedetection of the oil debris. Finally, the thesis describes the block diagram of system’s hardware and therealization of system software. The hardware block diagram give the realization of thosemodules described in the front: data acquisition module、results storage module andcommunication module. The software part is divided into two parts: lower machine partand the host computer part. The lower machine software is developed under the CCS3.3integrated development environment, it is primarily responsible for the continuousdetection the oil signal and the storage of the detection’s statistics information, and inresponse to commands from the PC side. VC6.0-based host computer software is usedas a user interface to send commands through the serial port to the DSP side, In Ordernot produce the phenomenon of suspended animation when response to a user’scommand, PC software adopt the multi-threading technology. Finally, the thesisdescribes the use method of the PC client software and give the test results.
