Design And Implementation Of ADSL Broadband Billing System

With the growing popularity of Internet and computers, people have reached anunprecedented height in the use of Internet, while user’s demand for Internet applicationis gradually turning from initial passive access to information such as web browsing,sending and receiving e-mails to active access to information such as VOD, videoconferencing, e-commerce, etc. In order to enhance the competitiveness of enterprisesand improve customer service satisfaction, all operators are in an urgent need for theestablishment of a system of authentication, accounting, management and analysis forthe broadband data access services. This system can be tailored to have different billingmethods for different users, such as monthly payment, annual subscription,duration-based, etc., and provide users with online trading platform: such as inquiry,modification, enjoying preferential discounts and other promotional activities. Therefore,it is essential to design and develop a billing system with flexible accounting methods,close to operators’ business needs and the needs of customers.This paper, from the background and significance of accounting systemdevelopment, analyzed and compared commonly used accounting systems to putforward some of the author’s views, as well as made detailed introduction to alldevelopment techniques used in the development process. This paper in accordancewith the steps of software engineering conducted system demand analysis, systemdesign, system implementation, focusing on the functional requirements of threesubsystems: data collection, data integration and online business hall, which provides atrain of thought to the design of ADSL broadband accounting system.During the system development process, after checking data and completing the background analysis, the author mainly completed the system requirements analysis, overall design and system testing, etc.
